Plus Teen USA 2009

Contestants from across America competed in business interviews, casual wear and formal wear categories. Optional competitions included "Most Photogenic", "Performance Talent" and "Non-Performance Talent". All contestants walked away with a crown symbolizing a renewed sense of self esteem and inner and outer beauty. Lynae Tucker of Grand Rapids, South Dakota walked away with the title of Plus Teen USA, 2009, a beautiful crown, a $500 cash award, an interview and photo on the cover of Tiara Magazine, and numerous other fantastic prizes and representative opportunities.

Plus Teen USA 2009, America’s first pageant and conference exclusively for plus size teens, was held during the weekend of October 23-25 in Arlington, Texas and was attended by, and televised on the Style Network's “RUBY”, who mentored the contestants and encouraged them to love themselves and live healthy lives to the the fullest NOW in the skin they’re in.

Sharon Quinn, also known as “The Original Runway Diva” from all three seasons of Oxygen’s MoNique’s Fat Chance, was the featured speaker and modeling trainer.
